Guru Arjan Dev Ji was born on April 15, 1563, in Goindwal, present-day Punjab, India. He succeeded his father, Guru Ram Das Ji, as the fifth Sikh Guru at the tender age of 18. During his leadership, Guru Arjan Dev Ji played a pivotal role in shaping Sikhism and consolidating its foundations.
